Our platform exists to assert the Africa agenda where it has not been or otherwise would not go. Many platforms focus on or within Africa. Africa Global Agenda platform is the only platform that exists not for investment/business, or for general purposes such as networking, but to advance and assert Africa’s agenda on the global stage. An agenda for development, prosperity, relevance, and equity. Each session will seek to advance these agenda objectives as an outcome. To engage with information and views shared in an open and congenial manner.
Flexibility is the strategic response to uncertainty. New and existing opportunities abound and must be mined to ensure that the inevitable loss of global economic dynamism does not augur a long-term loss of economic dynamism for Africa.
Africa must find a way to navigate and to remain relevant. It cannot continue to rely on platforms such as the World Economic Forum (WEF), a platform for congregating the global elite, which thrived under globalization. Largely animated by the dynamics of globalization, those are conversations where rich countries set the agenda for engagement with the developing world, and for Africa.
It is important that Africa designs its own structures and networks to conduct these complex and detailed discussions with global peers. And on its own terms. Having paramount its own agenda and clear path to prosperity and moving forward.
New platforms must emerge which utilize new mechanisms, strategies, and approaches for navigating Africa’s affairs within a complex and ever-changing world.
